Interior Designer-Approved Amazon Fall Prime Day Deals

As we transition into fall, Amazon’s October Prime Day sale offers the perfect opportunity to refresh your home with seasonal accents. And while everybody loves a good jack-o’-lantern, timeless pieces that extend beyond a single holiday will bring cozy warmth you can enjoy all season long. 

Designer Hill Rondero of Charlotte-based Ro House Studio says that this season, design is all about comfort and character: “There’s a move away from everything feeling pristine and perfect, and more toward homes that feel warm, approachable, and personal.”

With that in mind, we asked four Southern interior designers for their top home decor picks of Amazon Prime Big Deal Days (and the deals are now live!) Overwhelmingly, their recommendations focus on rich colors and textures that make a space feel homey. A throw blanket made with natural fibers—such as cotton, linen, or wool—is great for “layering texture on a sofa or bed,” Rondero says. This handloomed cotton throw has a classic herringbone pattern and decorative fringe, making any space more inviting. 

Although it’s available in more than a dozen colors, we think it shines in the marigold: “I love introducing spice tones like paprika or marigold—they instantly add richness and warmth without overwhelming a space,” says Sara Malek Barney, founder and principal designer at BANDD/DESIGN in Austin, Texas.

Principal and lead creative at Austin-based Turnstyle Design, Lieve Saether, says every shopper should invest in a distinctive lighting piece in their home: “something that becomes a focal point in a room, not just utility but art.” This mid-century modern desk lamp delivers on that idea, with a sleek, modern silhouette and timeless brash finish. Plus, the head pivots 180 degrees, while a built-in dimmer on the base makes it easy to set the right mood.

Lieve says deep, plush rugs layer beautifully to create a cozy atmosphere. This hand-tufted rug made from a wool and polyester blend rug has a substantial pile, so it will feel soft underfoot. Barney says that elevated storage baskets are a must in any home, and calls these rattan baskets one of her go-to Amazon finds. “They bring both function and polish, corralling clutter while adding texture,” she says. These versatile baskets work just as well for holding fruit as they do for keys or decorative accents.

Barney says every home should also have a decorative accent chair, and a timeless piece like this one “works in the living room, bedroom, or even an entry—a classic piece you’ll use forever.” 

This cozy club chair is the perfect reading spot and comes in multiple colors, though we’re partial to the mustard. “Mustard, ochre, rust, and deep greens are colors I return to again and again—I treat them as neutrals because they’re grounding but still fresh,” Rondero says. Finished in soft boucle fabric, the chair adds layered texture to create a cozy space.

According to Barney, a solid coffee table is essential in any home: “It grounds the living space and becomes the stage for books, trays, flowers, and conversation,” she says. This design pairs gold leaf with an iron frame for a glam yet durable look. The tray tabletop is more than just decorative—it is attached magnetically to the foldable base, so you can remove it and use it as a portable surface to serve drinks or display other decorative accents.

“This season, design is leaning into cozy sophistication,” Barney says. “We’re seeing layered textures—think velvet, wool, and natural linen—mixed with warm woods and stone finishes.” These semi-sheer curtains capture that look perfectly, pairing a crisp, tailored finish with a linen-blend fabric that softens the effect. These are light-filtering curtains, so they provide privacy while still allowing natural light to brighten the room.

Don’t overlook lighting this Prime Day. “A chandelier or lamp instantly adds character and elevates a space,” Rondero says. Barney agrees, noting that “A great chandelier or sculptural floor lamp can completely transform a room, even more than furniture sometimes.” This chandelier has an industrial look with a timeless brash finish (though other finishes are available) that would complement a variety of decor styles. Just one or two coffee table books is more than enough to make a statement: “Even if you don’t have stacks of coffee table books, a few grouped together can anchor a vignette and make a home feel lived-in and thoughtful,” says Rondero. Rondero suggests shoppers keep an eye out for moody candlesticks during Prime Day: “Black and blush make a cozy vignette,” she says.
